Wow! This crazy adventure is about to open a new chapter!!
I found out on January 10, 2007 that I was officially pregnant! I had an idea earlier in the month but didn't want to give Michael a glimmer of hope before I knew for certain. I had it all planned out - I was going to leave church early on Wednesday night - buy a pregnancy test - get home take the test before Michael made it home - and a plan an exciting night later in the week to tell him the blessed news.
Well - it didn't play out quite like that. People who have experienced the excitement of knowing that they are expecting - know it is one of the hardest things to keep in when all you want to do is go up and shout it on a mountain!
I did manage to act some what normal and go to bed without spilling it - I got up the next morning as usual - went to work and of course couldn't focus on much all day. I got home and thought that I would not be able to stand it much longer. Later that evening we were on our way to our house - and I just blurted it out while driving down the road. Michael's response: "When were you going to tell me?" "You tell me like this!" Be the look on his face - he obviously didn't have a clue what to do with this news. I just started laughing and neither one of us could believe that this was really happening.
It is all old news from there. We found out on Apil 12, 2007 that our baby was in deed a girl!
I had it in my mind that this child was certainly a boy - when the nurse told us it was a girl, Michael immediately started sobbing - which in turn started me sobbing. The nurse soon followed with tears. My first words to Michael were "Will you please let me hold her sometimes?" That part of the story is yet to be determined!!! WE will soon find out! :)
My pregnancy has been such a blessing from the first time I knew for certain - through the feeling of her first kick - to the miserably uncomfortable 107 degree weather during August - I have had no complications! We understand, not fully I'm sure, how blessed we are to be sharing in this time. I'm trying to be patient and not rush the amazing cycle that GOD has created.
We are now in the waiting stage. Wait and see when she will come. It could be any day now and we are anxiously awaiting her arrival.

Hey Mindy and Michael,
I'm sitting here...sobbing too... knowing that Jaci is on her way today. I know you're going through a lot right now, but it will be so worth it in just a short while. I can't wait to see pictures and hear the birth story!! Sarah wants to come there now and see you guys at the hospital. LOL We're so excited over here. :-)
Love,
Karen
Michael and Mindy, I can't think of a child more blessed than Jaci to come into a loving, Christian family. I just hope Nana Nancy doesn't spoil her too badly. When you get tired of either the baby or Nancy, send them back to us.We love them both. Donna
I knew that this baby would be beautiful like their parents and she is. Thank you for sharing God's miracle with us. We love your precious family. Chuck and Freda Ramsey
